Suggest me a book to make me feel a little better?

Been feeling like shit lately, hard to get up in the morning, the old cicle of depression but maybe a twinge worse, idk. I used to love to read, but haven’t been able to finish a book in months, and I could really use the distraction of getting involved in some other reality right now, so. My last read was The Strange Sally Diamond, which I enjoyed up until the end, giving it left a bitter taste in my mouth — probably more of a case of bad timming to read it than anything.
Anyway, I’ve been into fantasy a lot lately, and maybe some well constructed romance wouldn’t hurt, but I’m open to anything really, as long as it doesn’t have a super depressing turn of events (or if it does, at least there’s something good or positive to come out the other end of it). No self help though, I can’t stand that bullshit.
I’ve been looking for some titles with a detective vibe, but with partners and some romance to it (really enjoy tv shows like The Mentalist, Bones, etc), but everything I come across so far has honestly been very corny or just silly, so if anyone has any good recomendations like that, I’d be open to it as well!
Anything with characters that are easy to connect with would also be appreciated, thanks 🤠
