I’ll be the first to admit that i’m not really a book person. Lately however i’ve been making a conscious effort to get more into reading. The biggest problem that i have at the moment is finding books to read.
I’m the kind of person that can’t read anything other than exactly what i’m feeling. I have plenty of books i could read but i just don’t feel like it now. Right now i really want fantasy and i mean the most cookie cutter stereotypical fantasy you can imagine. I don’t want to be impressed with overly9 complex politics or magic systems and worlds that require a phd to figure out.
I want something along the lines of…
Dragons, elves, wizards, prophecies, dark lords, wars, kings, spookie forests filled with giant spiders and plenty of comradery. A group of young friends going on a grand adventure to see the world and uncover secrets!
So reddit give me your absolute favourite basic fantasy books that do stereotypical fantasy to perfection 🙂

The Eye of the World
Kind of sounds like you want to read Lord of the Rings.
Your looking for The Inheritance Cycle (The Eragon Series)
The best review I ever saw for it was “like a comfortable sweater”. It’s a very fun and enjoyable fantasy novel about a peasant boy who meets a dragon and has to kill a dark lord
