A thousand splendid suns by khaled hosseni is such a nice, pure and amazing book. You will find so many subjects to put focus on rather than just “love”. It breaks your hearts but then mends it too. The situation was all based on reality the violence Afghans had to face by USSR AND USA. Through all those harsh time laila and tariq still got the chance to create a beautiful love story. Mariyams whole story was so sorrowful but in the end she felt completed when she was about to get hanged for killing rasheed. One character that triggered me a lot was rasheed you can see how rude he was i cant even imagine how mariyam and laila put up with his behaviour , through out the whole novel what only he did was beat them and degrade them and showing his male dominance and superiority. Though in the end he did died. I just loved this book 😭😭 it made me cry tears of happiness. There are still so many points that i didnt discussed about but i think this is enough to make someone engage in a convo with me or to read this novel. 🤍
