I just read The Devotion of Suspect X a few days ago and I can’t stop thinking about it. I was only planning on reading the first 5 chapters for the bookclub subreddit, but I just couldn’t put it down and finished it in one day. It’s been a while since I had a book just hook me like that. The only thing that comes close for me was Dark Matter and Recursion, but even those weren’t as strong as this book.
So yeah, I’m basically asking for a book you felt just hooked you and reeled you in, something where you felt like you wouldn’t be able to rest until you finished it.

Love Higashino. The ending of that one really hurt
The last books that I couldn’t put down were [The Golem and the Jinni](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/15819028) and [The Kingdoms](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/54680112). Both historical fantasy – not a genre I usually go for, but both utterly immersive.
Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn

The Silence of the Lambs by Thomas Harris
Dark Matter by Blake Crouch
