I always hated reading since i was younger. I kind of felt like it was a chore so i would forget my book logs for school when i was young. Basically all my life id do whatever it took to get out of reading in school. Now that im a freshman in college i realize that was pretty dumb. Reading isn’t too much of a factor in my major/what i want to do but of course it’s a skill everyone needs and i feel like i lack in it. What is the best way someone like me can improve their reading comprehension for things such as standardized tests and just in general. I’d prefer not to just read small passages and answer questions on them as i feel like i would burn out pretty fast just out of boredom. I also want to start reading but i want to read and learn something from it at the same time. Overall i just want to ask what’s the best way to improve reading comprehension and what books are interesting that i can also learn from.
