He’s a really avid reader, but he’s so picky and doesn’t like take to new things too well, so he ends up just re-reading his favourite series instead of trying new ones.
He’s insanely obsessed with the ‘Rangers Apprentice,’ ‘Harry Potter’ and ‘Wings of Fire,’ series, all of which he’s read at least a few books in them a couple times. He also really likes stuff like ‘the royal ranger’.’
He’s a pretty advanced reader for his age, and can read stuff like the half blood prince in a couple days.

Check out the Minecraft trilogy by Max Brooks (who wrote World War Z). They’re fantastic!
The Island
The Mountain
The Village
Another very fun series (though it was more fun to me when I read it to my nephew, because I could kinda explain some of the tropes) is the Pals in Peril series by M.T. Anderson. They are extremely funny. My nephew gifted all of his copies to my son and called them “the classics” last year.
Gregor the overlander
Percy jackson
[Nevermoor](https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/6a6d5ca1-b2f5-47be-828c-018144d3bbc7) by Jessica Townsend!! Highly recommend!
Silverwing by Kenneth Oppel (there are follow-up books if he enjoys the first one)
Hexwood by Diana Wynne Jones
Have him try Percy Jackson. It’s really easy to get into and it’s so fun and fast paced while also being action-packed.
Septumus Heap series
When I taught 6th graders they were all into the Warrior cats series, but I’ve never personally checked them out.
Try the Fablehaven series by Brandon Mull!
