Can someone recommend me a clean tragedy that will tear my heart and soul while reading, and it will make me bawl my eyes out, but the tragedy itself is somehow beautiful, and although it will have a sad ending it will be a beautiful one that u would prefer over a happy ending (idk if that made sense 🌝)

[Try Flowers for Algernon](https://imgur.com/a/axfFRnG), it’s both heartfelt & heartbreaking.

Tragic would be {{Madam Bovary}} from Gustave Flaubert who would take Cervantes Don Quixote & flip it on its head.
Instead of a old man past his prime living the life of chivalry through his madness of novels, this author spins a tragic tale of a woman obsessed with romance novels and leaves a wake of destruction in her midst.

Either way you will be torn by the end of both of these books 📚

    2. Tiger Lily by Jodi Lynn Anderson. The main character does get a nice ending for herself, but not the thing she spent most of the book wanting. That part is so very sad.

It is about love, but there is nothing explicit that happens in the book.
