OK so I read an excerpt of a book and I never did find a name for it. But if anyone has read it or anything like it please tell me a title. It’s a mafia book.
The FL is a twin. Her sister is treated like a princess who can do no wrong while the FL is beaten and abused by the sister, mother and stepfather (she has to call sir.) The mother and stepfather die in an accident so the sisters get pulled out of school and taken to the police station. They do a DNA test and come to find out they have family in Italy. The oldest brother comes and picks them up.
The sister tries treating the FL a little badly to guage the brothers reaction to see if he would go along with it. He threatens the “princess”. That’s as far as I got before interent reloaded and I lost the page.
