I’m looking for a book that fits this description. I don’t want to read any YA/children books though. I’m looking for adult fiction with a nostalgic view on childhood. I’m open for any genre.
The companion books “The Story Girl” and “The Golden Road” by LM Montgomery. It’s an adult’s recollection of times spent with cousins and their neighbors in rural Canada.
Story Girl sets up Golden Road and reminds youth to treasure friendships of youth because they typically must come to an end and those are the friendships we’ll value most in life. They’re written about youth but adult readers can probably enjoy them more.
