How to talk to anybody

So I recently finished a book called “How to talk to anybody” by Derek Borthwick and the book is a solid 3.5-4/5 but during the course of the entire book, the author references his other book “How to read anybody” so I ordered that book too. Now, even though I’m 18 my memory is NOT the best so I have decided to highlight the most important parts of the book and write that down in my Notes app. The problem is that I’m not sure should I use a single notes page for both of these books so that the other book would just fill in on the first one(where it reference the other book) or should I just have separate notes for them? What are your thoughts on this? What is the beat way to summarise these books?
