For context I’m suffering a loss in my journey to conceive. I want to read something captivating, and preferably without mention of things like miscarriages or pregnancies etc.
Generally I enjoy sci-fi, dystopian/survival type of novels. Examples: The Expanse series, Parable of the Sower/Talents (Octavia E Butler), MaddAddam series and other works by Atwood. I love podcasts like We’re Alive, Impact Winter, Case 63 etc.
Also open to things outside of these categories but basically anything really captivating and not centered around children, babies or childbirth, pregnancy or loss of a child/children. I really need a mental break from that.

The Martian – Andy weir,
Bobiverse – Dennis E. Taylor
Edit: also so sorry for your loss.
Murderbot series.
Captivating, feel-good sci-fi m/m romance: Winter’s Orbit by Everina Maxwell.
Ancillary Justice by Ann Leckie, perhaps?
