Hi all! I randomly read Jane Eyre early last year off a recommendation, and it lead me into the best reading journey of my life. I absolutely loved and am looking for more books similar in writing of:
Jane eyre – Charlotte Bronte
Of Human Bondage – W Somerset Maugham
Rebecca – Daphne Du Maurier
Wuthering Heights – Emily bronte
Villette (I LOVED Villette) – Charlotte Bronte
The Woman in White – Wilkie Collins
(Pride & Prejudice was honestly slightly more difficult for me, but I enjoyed it)
I would love more book recs from these times. I love the art of storytelling, the honesty of life, suffering, and the waves of life.
Thanks in advance!

Macunaima by Mario de Andrade is a magical realist classic that is based on Amazonian myths and legends. It was published in 1928.
Have you read any Dickens?
Few books beat Great Expectations.
