Hi everyone,
I want to have a comprehensive book list. Im looking for both fiction and non-fiction books, however, in terms of fiction it has to be a book with “meaning”. I know this is very ambiguous so I’ll explain what I mean. I’ve read in the past books by Dan Brown and Sydney Sheldon, they were very entertaining, however I don’t see what exactly I got from them except for killing some time and entertainment. I would also probably not enjoy romantic novels like “pride and prejudice”. Meanwhile, I’m reading “crime and punishment” by Dostoyevsky, and there’s a lot of value in the book. The book is so much more than its story.
In terms of non-fiction, I’ve read a lot of the pop-sci grand idea books in the past, like “freakonomics”, “bad science”, but I would like to avoid them this time. Like, I would avoid reading “guns, germs and steel” because the world history is much complicated than that, or “sapiens” because I don’t think a single pop-sci book can explain all of human existence, and any book pretending to do so is probably not very valuable, so ideally I would like very specialized books on a specific topic but that are also a great read
Here are some books I have on my list so far to give you an idea:

Dostoyevsky (Karamavov brothers, idiot, notes from underground)
