As the title says, looking for a story/novel where the girl falls in love with someone or has a crush on someone who suddenly dies, leaving her devastated. The girl convinces herself she’s loveless and would never find love again but destiny has something else written for her.
Best if the book is written from the pov of the girl herself while she’s healing from the loss.
Anyone of you have something like this or similar in mind?

I do; it was written in the 1980s so quite a long time ago now, and features a grown woman, rather than a girl. But I suggest it because it’s really good about how it feels when someone you love dies…and how you go on living. And [spoilers!] it does have a hopeful ending. Written from the woman’s POV too. It’s good, so don’t let the age of the book put you off.
