My 75-year old Mexican father-in-law was asking me today about the history of feminism and the struggles women have faced and overcome in the past few centuries in particular. Since has some serious issues with machismo that occasionally strains his relationship with his wife and daughter, I really want to encourage and nurture this behavior and related self-examination. So I want to buy him a book on the topic, but I have no idea what’s good.
As we are Americans, and he in particular a Vietnam Vet, he will grasp and relate to the American perspective much more clearly than a global one.
