I am a guy and just read Fourth Wing and Iron Flame after hearing there was dragons in it and its pretty popular. I dont read often but I really enjoyed this series. The only thing that wasnt for me was the ‘spice’. Im straight and I dont enjoy the FMC pov saying all of the things about the MMC being hot etc. Still I enjoyed the books nonetheless. But it made me think that since I enjoyed this I wonder if there are any similar style books with fantasy themes,spice, and a romance subplot BUT from the POV of the MMC. And so far I have mainly found only FMC pov, MMC pov but no spice, or MMC POV with only spice/romance and no fantasy. So I was wondering if anyone could help me out 🙂 I would really appreciate it.

T. Kingfisher alternates point-of-view. (I just posted about her in the other romance thread, sorry if this is a repeat.) The first two books of her Paladin series (Paladin’s Grace and Paladin’s Strength) are well written, clever/funny characters, fantasy with a touch of horror/mystery, and a light amount of spice.
The characters are middle-aged experienced adults.
No dragons, though.
