An eminent writer (whose name I don’t remember), once said, true literature or fiction is where 1 Nothing much seems to happen 2 its about day to day life 3 it isn’t fast paced but provides perspectives & one savors reading it. What’s your view on the above & which books you suggest are of these type?

I’m not sure how to comment on this person’s analysis of literature. I can think of exceptions to all of their rules that most intellectuals invested in literature would regard as “true literature” and don’t really know if I’ve *ever* read a book where “nothing much seems to happen.”
But, it seems like you might be looking for something like *Mrs. Dalloway* or *Between the Acts* by Virginia Woolf.
Jonathan Franzen and Donna Tartt.
