Hey everyone, I’ve been going through a really tough period the last six months and would really appreciate if you could suggest some feel good novels with quality writing and a good plot. Thanks! 🙂
If you’re open to a very long book, I highly recommend [The Hands of the Emperor](https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/af2bba9c-8f41-4a3e-b87a-8532a44ccb67) by Victoria Goddard! It’s basically a beautifully written slice of life book about the personal secretary to the emperor of the world, with a heavy focus on platonic relationships. It’s one of my favorite books 🙂

I feel like Im recommending this a lot today but you can’t go wrong with Monk and Robot when your soul needs a little healing. Book one is called A Psalm for the Wild-Built and it’s about a tea monk who doesn’t know where they’re going with their life and a robot that they become friends with. They’re also super short, ~150 pages each, so super easy read.
All you *really* need to know about them is the dedications:
book 1: “For anybody who could use a break.”
book 2: “For anybody who doesn’t know where they’re going.”
