I’m very curious what books do people all around the world study in school about. And curious about classical books from cultures other than mine, of course. I know that english or russian classics for example are very well known by everyone, even by non-readers, and it made me think about every other culture that’s probably not that “popular”.
For me I’d have to say: The Paul Street Boys, Bengal Nights (let me know if you’ve heard about them!!)

In Kiribati, one well-known classic is “Teweiariki Teaero’s Plays” by Teweiariki Teaero. These plays offer insights into Kiribati culture, traditions, and contemporary issues. They’re often studied in schools and appreciated for their portrayal of island life and societal themes.
