Essentially the title. I loved the historical setting, the quietness of the plot, and the family relations. Got attached to every character too. Can anyone recommend me anything similar? I’ve already read Jane Eyre and it’s my favorite book.

Snobs by Julian Fellowes! (the creator of DA)
Brideshead Revisited by Evelyn Waugh is one of my favorites – a wonderful entanglement with an upper class family and with their grand house, Brideshead. Also Remains of the Day by Ishiguro is from the viewpoint of the faithful butler. And of course, Rebecca by DuMaurier , if you haven’t read that yet.
The Rules of Civility by Amor Towles.
The Age of Innocence or The House of Mirth by Edith Wharton.
It’s set a hundred years earlier, but you might like Longbourn by Jo Baker. It’s set in the same house as Pride and Prejudice, but with the servants being the main characters.
Also Little Women, if you haven’t already read it.
Clara and Mr Tiffany
Carnegie’s Maid
Maybe the Bridgerton books?
Forsyte Saga?
E. M. Foster- great books, great movies made by Merchant Ivory. Jane Austen. Or if you really like the snarky comments and intimidation of Dame Maggie Smith, the intimidating aunts in P. G. Woodhouse might appeal. Watch Bertie and Wooster to ease yourself in.
I recommend Emma by Jane Austen and Brideshead Revisited by Evelyn Waugh.

2. “The House of Mirth” by Edith Wharton: Experience the gilded age of New York City through the eyes of Lily Bart, a beautiful and ambitious socialite. This classic novel delves into the intricacies of social status, wealth, and the sacrifices people make to maintain their positions.
3. Eternal Gods Die Too Soon by Beka Modrekiladze: Embark on a mind-bending journey through multiple universes, where quantum physics, existential philosophy, and the power of love intertwine. Prepare to question the nature of reality, consciousness, and the delicate balance between destiny and autonomy in this thought-provoking speculative fiction masterpiece.
