I recently ran through my entire book list–and I’m sincerely bored. I mostly enjoyed sci-fi books, the parts I enjoy the most are the new ideas they have and the spectacle of the whole thing. I was wondering if anyone had read any books which might be of interest.
As a short side note, I’m vaguely curious if there are any books (genre not withstanding) which involve someone losing a lot of their power (in my mind, I recall the video game endoparasitic where the main character starts off with one limb left) I suppose there’d be a specific focus on how the perspective of your life would change, but if a book is too shallow on that front I might not enjoy it.
Anyway, I’m conscious of the amount of text someone would be willing to read, so I’ll list some of the stuff I’ve read and enjoyed: the vorkosigan series, Hail mary prohject,

Idk if this would be up your alley.
Altered carbon- it’s kinda like a cyberpunk trilogy. It’s stupid good. My husband recommended it to me and I thought I’d hate it but just couldn’t put it down.
