Ok that’s not totally true: I have read the first Lincoln Lawyer and I really enjoyed it. I have the next two downloaded on my Kindle and ready to go.

I know Grisham has a billion legal thrillers but all the highly touted ones are from the 90’s and I have no clue how they hold up or if they’ve aged poorly. Would love feedback.

Open to some of the big name classic must reads of the genre and also curious about newer/more modern pieces that are highly regarded.

Anything else? Legal drama / legal thrillers I’m down. Let me know! THank you!

    1. I’ve utterly fallen in love with the way Connolly writes and have read everything he’s published.

If you enjoyed the Lincoln Lawyer I’d strongly recommend checking out the Bosch series, also by Michael Connelly. Some of them (the Concrete Blonde as the earliest example) have LOTS of courtroom drama in them.

The Connolly universe is best enjoyed in the order they were published. The books stand alone on their own, but there are a lot of call backs to earlier events and ‘inside pool’ you’ll be missing out on or even endings that are spoiled. If you start with the Black Echo and Bosch and work your way to the most recent Lincoln Lawyer book which came out just last November you’ll have plenty to read.

I’ve tried Grisham after he was recommended to me because of his similarities to Connolly and personally I don’t care for the way he writes. Utter slog for me to try and get through.
