Tbh I’m kinda tired of all the queer romances being about young career driven professionals and grad students in big cities. I (22f) live in a rural area and am interested in stuff like labor organizing and community building work and don’t connect very well to a lot of these mainstream stories. Even stories where the character just isn’t super focused on their job would be great. I like a little romance novel now and then so suggestions are appreciated! Sapphic stories preferred but I don’t mind other queer suggestions.

You might like Delilah Green doesn’t Care by Ashley Herring Blake (and it’s sequels).
How to be a normal person by TJ Klune, I really loved it.
Something to Talk About by Meryl Wilsner. It’s about a Hollywood a list and her assistant.
