Suggest me a book on hard work/honest work/responsibility
I’d like something that will help show the value of the things mentioned in the title. Some of the authors I enjoy are Hemingway and Murakami. If anyone could help, it would be much appreciated!
Maybe *Convenience Store Woman* by Sayaka Murata – it is about a woman who finds fulfillment in a simple job, becomes exceptionally good at it and values her responsibilities at work more than most other things in her life.
I also recommend *All The Beauty in the World* by Patrick Bringley. It is the memoir of a man who quit his job in journalism to work as a museum guard. It showcases a job that many people would find tedious but that the author really enjoyed, and he is full of respect for his (mostly less privileged) co-workers.
