I realized that my girls (twin 13 year olds and a 15 year old) weren’t reading as much as I’d like them to so I checked out three copies of AQotWF and we’ve read a chapter aloud during the week. I think it was a good choice and most nights they want to keep reading. I’d like something new, not necessarily war related. I was thinking Shogun would be a option but there’s too much sexual reference for my liking. I like the idea of ‘classics’; books that are well renowned and have had a historical impact. 1984 would be a good one, but I’m not quite feeling it as a good next choice. I’d appreciate any recommendations- thanks!
