I am in search of authors, novels, and short stories with a style similar to that of Arturo Pérez Reverte. I have the impression that Pérez Reverte imparts in his stories things like courage and honor. It’s as if an old man who has lived a lot is telling you stories so that you don’t take the wrong path in your life. At the same time, he shows you the harshness and beauty of the world.

If I were to think of something similar, but in cinema, I would say that perhaps it bears resemblance to Clint Eastwood. Maybe this is debatable, but I hope the comparison with the themes and values shared by their works is understood.

If so, what writers, novels, and short stories with a style similar to that of Arturo Pérez Reverte would you recommend?
