I’ve recently read a chain of books that I either didn’t finish for a multitude of reasons, or just hated, and it’s beginning to put me in a bit of a slump.
A few books I read recently that I really enjoyed were *Martyr!* by Kaveh Akbar, *A Prayer for the Crown-Shy* by Becky Chambers, and *The Shards* by Bret Easton Ellis
I tend to lean towards literary fiction, horror, and thriller that have very strong characters or unreliable narrators. Basically anything to make me feel strong emotions lol and I need something that’s gonna keep my attention from the very first page. The only genres I really don’t like are short stories, fantasy, and hard sci-fi.
