I read a lot of fantasy and sci-fi but my friend doesn’t and I’m trying to think of a suggestion for her. We both grew up reading Harry Potter which she really likes. She also likes several sci-fi TV series like Dark, Severance and Stranger things. Therefore I thought it would be fun to give her a book to try as a graduation present.
I don’t think she’d like any of my favorites though. I’m trying to pin point whats key and I believe it’s stories with a lot of focus on characters and their relationships. No hard sci-fi or complex world building. I suppose mystery could be a plus, but nothing too convoluted. Shorter books preferred Also it would have to be a fairly well known book so that there’s a Swedish translation.
She doesn’t read much fiction overall but she reads non fiction about social themes like crime or gender studies.
