    Good day Reddit,

I’m a pretty big sci-fi//fantasy junkie and I’m trying to decide what to tackle next. Over the last year or two I’ve been making an attempt to read a bit outside my wheelhouse starting with some classics and before that effort I tried to make a point of reading a bunch of Hugo winners. To provide some context here is my recent reading list in reading order(most recent first):

    War and Peace
    The Death Gate Cycle
    The Art of Seduction
    Journey to Ixtlan
    The Prince
    Babel (r.f. kuang)
    Dracula
    Project Hail Mary
    Locked Tomb (books 1-3)
    Heart of Darkness
    The Count of Monte Cristo
    Crime and Punishment
    Brave New World
    Imperial Radch (books 1-3)
All Quiet on the Western Front
A Memory Called Empire (only read book 1 so far)
    Three Body Problem (books 1-3)
    The Broken earth (books 1-3)
    Hyperion (books 1-4)
    Wayfarers (books 1-4)
Malazan Path to ascendancy (books 1-4)
    Black Company (full series)
    Stoner (john williams)
    Rythm of War
Mistborn saga part 2 (wax & wayne)
    Green Bone Saga
    Gentlemen Bastards
Realm of the Elderlings (all of it)
    The God is Not Willing

So as you can see I’ve jumped around a bit- of the stuff listed above my favorites were probably: The God is Not Willing (Erikson probably my favorite author), Green Bone Saga, Hyperion, Count of Monte Cristo, and any of the elderling books with Fitz. Honorable mention for project Hail Mary. That said I’ve enjoyed pretty much everything with the exception that War and Peace has been a bit of a slog to get thru but that might just be due to it’s length. Obviously not everything I’ve read is listed here but hopefully it can inspire you guys with some idea of what I’m into. Years and years ago the books that first really got me into fantasy were A Song of Ice and Fire & The Malazan Book of the Fallen.
What are some books you guys think any avid reader should read? I’m open to new things and also more than happy to sink my teeth into big series. I don’t tend to re-read books much so I’m always hungry for something new. Happy to field questions too so hit me up if you have any questions that might lead to a better suggestion!
