Hi everyone,
I was using the Open Library to read some books a while ago and can’t seem to find a really enjoyable book that I was briefly reading. It isn’t in my “previous loans” so haven’t the foggiest idea what it was called.
I know that it’s set in maybe 1950s America, it’s a private investigator/detective short novel, with illustrations. A PI was hired by a guy, and he meets his two daughters, one’s childlike and blonde and the other is a lot more mature. I believe the PI is tailing an art thief/jewel thief? He follows him to his house where he finds a camera set up to take photos of women – turns out he’s taking photos of the childlike daughter. That’s as far as I got.
I wish I could remember any of the character names, but I believe it’s a series of short novels.
If anyone can help, it would put an end to my misery!
