I’m thinking primarily about books like Byung-Chul Han’s *Non-things: Upheaval in the Life World*, Patrick Curry’s *Enchantment: Wonder in Modern Life* and Michael Serres’ *Malfeasance: Appropriation Through Pollution?* There are of course many books on architecture and art out there, but I’m looking for something that works with the idea that the beautiful and storied world is being hidden from us such that we experience a “poverty in world” (as Han says). In fact, a good summation of what I’m looking for lies in the use of Tim Robinson’s word “geophany” to signify a “showing forth of the Earth”.
Thanks.
