The book “Wilderness” by Dennis Danvers explores the theme of being and dating a woman who periodically turns into a werewolf in a pretty creative way. Feels to me like it focuses more on the everyday side of the thing than the fantastic. I like how real love seems possible between this woman and her beau but it also seems like she’s a bit self-involved. When the contest for whose more relevant is between the sometime-werewolf and the regular guy, the wolf would surely win. Bet that’s why relationships between unequal people don’t last; like the fantasy doesn’t even need to be in her being a werewolf when there remaining together is what’s more unlikely! Wow!
