While reading a book, I usually turn back the pages a lot to reread stuff in earlier chapters to understand the context better. For example, if ‘John’ reappears after say like 100-150 pages, I usually try to go back to the part where John was introduced and skim through that again to make sure I’m not missing anything.
Now comes my dilemma. I’ve been buying physical copies of books to read as I want to create a bookshelf at my home. It becomes difficult in this case to go back to initial parts as it takes time to search for what I want. My question is, will it be okay if I download an e-book in my computer that I can exclusively use for searching previous parts? It’ll be much easier to go a Ctrl+F and get to where I want. Is this ok because I would already have bought a physical copy through official vendors?
