Worldbuilding, twists and turns, atmosphere, interactions between characters? All of these (and others that i wont write because writing on a phone is tedious) are important but which one would you say is the most important? Feel free to add the ones that i forgot!
Bonus question: who is the best author to do this one thing?
I would say that the interactions is what makes a book, if the characters are good and have normal, human interactions it can be really good, if they dont? Not so much. Authors like Jonathan Stroud and Rick Riordan are good at this, but Rebecca Yarros and Sarah J. Maas are also if you want more mature books.
