IMO the movie is better. I’m glad I read it, but I borrowed a copy from a library. Don’t think it’s worth buying

Definitely worth reading. And there’s nothing wrong with buying secondhand, or getting it from the library!

    3. I’ve been a huge fan of the movie for 15 years, and finally read the book last year. They’re so different that I couldn’t say if one is “better” than the other, but I did end up loving the book more.

Howl and Sophie have pretty different personalities in the book, but imo they’re just as charming. The book is cozy, witty, and just a lot of fun.

The book is VERY different, but I loved it. It´s also part of a series.

    5. It’s a magical book. I read it this year and it was a nice cozy fantasy read. It’s different from the movie, but delightful in its own way!

It’s not bad. I like the movie better. The movie and book are quite different, but I enjoyed reading it. I haven’t read the other 2 in the series, though. Mainly because they weren’t on KU.

    7. Good book. The prose is good. Good descriptions and inner meanderings.

The story is very much like an old fairy tale. Enjoyable. But whether you have buyers remorse isn’t up to me.

Rather you should borrow the book first from the Libby app to see if you like it. Or wait for a kindle sale at 1.99 or 4.99.

Book was different but very enjoyable. There’s actually 3. First is about howl and sofie and the others are different people and stories in other places in the world but also enjoyable reads and howl or sophie still get a little mention or appearance.
