Hi all,
Unlike most readers I talk to, I am really passionate about the dystopian genre. The books that many of y’all loathed reading at school I read for fun (and strangely never got assigned). The idea of an authoritarian government ruling over us fascinates and horrifies me because I feel like the chance of that happening where I live (USA) seems to be growing every day. I’m looking to read more books like 1984, Animal Farm, Fahrenheit 451, Handmaid’s Tale, and Brave New World. I especially loved Handmaid’s Tale for its stark message of women’s issues and empowerment. Is there anything else I can check out?
