I’ve fallen behind and haven’t been into reading at all since the start of this year. I want to get back into it, I’d like some recommendations for short and fast-paced books. I love anything to do with Thriller, Mystery, Horror, Memoirs, Psychological Thriller.. and Romance is okay but fantasy is a no go for me. I’m open to any type of book really.

These are just some of my faves that got me out of a slump, hope you find what you are looking for!
Slade house by David Mitchell is horror/psychological. It’s 272 pages so I don’t know if that is considered short for you or not.
This isn’t any genre you described but it’s an easy read. Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster is on the fantasy side but the author’s real focus is on how the use of the English language can be used in a non-customary way. It is meant for younger audiences so it’s easier to read, but I loved it.
Stephen King, The Running Man.
Lee Child’s Jack Reacher books are pretty cool, it’s like Law and order on steroids and the books are not very large or wordy. Also POV, so you can kinda turn parts of your brain off and enjoy the experience instead of looking at maps or making notes on chapters about significance of events.
