The King in Yellow by Chambers for horror short stories.
I love Asimov’s style of short story, he almost always packs a punch at the end of each story. Multiple times I’ve gotten to the last page of a story and it felt like I had the wind knocked out of me. Two great collections are Robot Dreams and Nightfall. The two eponymous stories from those collections are so excellent.
