When I’m reading books, I sometimes speculate on what the final conflict will be like. I think it would be fun if I get to speculate who the final antagonist will be.
Is it one of multiple antagonists introduced? Is it one of the allies who turns on the protagonist? Is it someone who was only hinted at throughout the books? These are the types of questions I would like to ponder while reading.
It could be a standalone or a series. Can you think of anything that fits here?

Not exactly a fantasy book but “The Naturals” series by Jennifer Lynn Barnes is super good. Its about a bunch of teenagers that are being recruited to the FBI to help solve the serial killings that keep happening. And the teenages are called “naturals”. There are two teenagers who are natural profilers (one is good at reading the killer’s mindset, the other is good at reading the victim’s mindset). One is a lie detector. One is a statistician. One is an emotion reader. And we go through several crimes trying to find the serial killers but with each book it becomes better and you will never guess the real killer. BELIEVE MEE !!! Search up trigger warnings before reading the book please. There are four books in the series and I finished all four within 4 days. 1 book per day!!! I COULD NOT PUT THEM DOWN…I JUST HAD TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED NEXT…WHO THE KILLERS ARE..I was in a reading slump after I finished the series cz it was soo good. 😭😭 Oh and its got a cute found-family concept !!!
