Time loops are one of my favorite genres across all forms of media, but they can be challenging to find.
I’m currently seeking time loop novels where the main character is trapped in a temporal recurrence, and there’s something significant at stake. For instance, if the loop is initiated by the death of the protagonist and continues until they solve a mystery.
Examples like ‘Happy Death Day’ or ‘Summer Time Render’ capture the essence of what I enjoy, although this specific trope isn’t mandatory—it just needs to be thrilling.
Thanks.

Recursion by Blake Crouch
*The Shining Girls* by Lauren Beukes
The 7 1/2 deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton
*All You Need is Kill* by Hiroshi Sakurazaka
The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August by Claire North.
Not QUITE a time loop but similar; {{The Midnight Library}}
{{All You Need is Kill}} has a time loop which occurs during an alien invasion. This book was the what the movie Edge of Tomorrow (which is different but also incredible IMO) was based on, so you’ll find the book with that English title as well depending on the edition.
All Our Wrong Todays by Elan Mastai
Replay by Ken Grimwood
Not entirely what you’re looking for but similar: Life After Life, by Kate Atkinson.
Life after life by Kate Atkinson
{{11/22/63}} by Stephen King
{{How to Save a Life}} by Liz Fenton and Lisa Steinke was really good. Also if you’re a rom-com reader, {{In a Holidaze}} by Christina Lauren has the time loop format. {{Wrong Place Wrong Time}} by Gillian McAllister is a bit more murder mystery with a time loop.
Agree with many books others have mentioned!
