I went to my local bookshop a few days ago and ended up buying Infinite Jest as it seemed interesting enough as I flipped through the pages, although one of the workers there thought that it would be too challenging since I’m thirteen years of age. Nonetheless I bought it and I’ve been almost jonesed on it, I admit that it’s hard to navigate through as the lexicon gets higher and higher, but it makes it all the more interesting. Just a few days in, and I’m on page one hundred and seventy two.
Besides that I’ve been trying to get a copy of House of Leaves, The Crying of Lot 49, etc. It’s hard to find older and more controversial forms of literature in physical copies these days, which is why I was wondering if there were any modern books centring around realism? it’d make it the whole lot more easier to find and eventually get my hands on.
