I picked it up not expecting to feel much since I already love bookstores. I’m halfway through and its been a delight. He muses on the best way to lay out a bookstore, the difference between a bookstore and book warehouse, the role of curation, and the feeling of getting lost in the stacks. The writing is evocative but tight, its just a wonderful book that makes me appreciate bookstores even more.
