I am looking for book recommendations of the horror/dark fantasy. Books such as the Brothers Grimm fairytales although it doesn’t necessarily have to be a fairytale. I’m just looking for something unique to read that haven’t actually read yet. Thank you in advance

It’s based on real life events, but if you are looking for dark and horrifying, Fall of the Guardians by Vanessa White.
Angela Carter’s The Bloody Chamber is the classic rewriting of dark fairytales, you might like that.
A Dowry of Blood is QUITE dark but perhaps not true horror… although it is amazingly written. It’s about the brides of Dracula, so there’s vampires, death, history, some kissy kissy, and then more death
