What’s a good novel or series that reads like, or has similar themes to a Japanese RPG game, such as Final Fantasy?

I don’t mean a LitRPG, although, I’m open to that. I just mean a fantasy story that has a similar feeling to things like Zelda and Final Fantasy. The clearly defined good and evil, heroic story. This is really niche, I’m curious what kinds of recs I get.
