I’m going to be starting pre-med soon and I’m curious about people like me in medicine. I haven’t really seen a lot of media with queer characters in jobs like medicine or other careers that are considered to be societally successful and honestly it’s a bit disheartening. So I’m trying to look for books about LGBTQ people/characters in medicine. I don’t really care if it’s a memoir, romance, biography, narrative fiction etc. or if it’s someone in nursing, a physician, med student, ems, etc. I’ve tried searching for books but all I’ve gotten are guides for treating and understanding LGBTQ patients and stock-photo-cover romance novels (both categories are really my only two exclusion criteria on genre.)
