Sat on a train from Bristol to Birmingham last week and the gent (mid 20s) sat next to me was reading some book with a purple cover and the word “wizard” on the cover somewhere. He had headphones on and appeared to be listening to music whilst reading this book. Didn’t think much of any of it – my reading pile is big enough; I often listen to music when reading.

About 2 mins before the journey ends, I realise that he’s got some sort of app which allows him to set time of day, weather, location in the storyworld etc and is then playing him music or background noise for his book. Now, this has me intrigued, but the only other thing I’m able to spot from the cover are the words “successfully crowd funded”.

I know I should have just asked the chap what book it was he was reading, but I assumed I’d be able to find this mysterious, music-acconpanied tome without too much hassle. How wrong I was.

Does anyone out there know what book it is? Has anyone read it?

    1. It’s called the Wizard’s Bible by Rickie Jones. It was successfully crowdfunded on Kickstarter and is published by the company called “Yonder Media”. The background music aspect is a feature provided by an app called “Musica,” which you have to download separately.
