I haven’t read Dune only seen the first movie, I’ve been tempted to begin the dune series many times but just the first book is 650+ pages and there’s 8 books I think in the series.
So basically sci-fi dystopian adventure, even fantasy would be fine.
With a small romance subplot, well developed characters and relationships. Any romance should be fade to black/clean romances please
They need to be an immersive like the Dune movie and what the books would be like I think. Example the Hunger Games books, to me they were really immersive and I just soaked up the experience.
I’d prefer the books length to be within 300pages, not exceeding 400pgs. And the number of books in the series to be less than 4.
Standalones like the Martian would be fine too
