I guess the best way to describe it would be carefully organized chaos. The best examples I can think of are Shakespeare, Hitchhiker’s Guide to a lesser extent, and Abbott and Costello routines. Banter and misunderstandings are the core of it with deemphisized punch lines in favor of a funny situation playing out. I’m open to any genre. Thanks!
