Which specific scenes in books made you squirm? Scenes that you felt were disturbing and maybe caught you off guard? For me it was a moment in Oathbringer where Shallan gets an arrow shot at her head and despite surviving because of her stormlight, it’s described how not only she struggles to take the arrow off her head but also how her speech is slurred because of the temporal brain damage.

Blood Meridian, there’s a part with a detailed description of a bush with hanging babies… There are plenty of horrifying things in that book but damn, i still think about that one :/
