Need suggestion for books that paint picture well.
I read one erotic book and it was great. It painted the scenes so well that I couldn’t help feeling aroused. I think reading such stuff is also good for learning how to describe and tell story.
But I don’t want to read erotic stuff. I want suggestions for same kind of books that describes well. But no erotic stuff in it.

The Picture of Dorian Grey – Oscar Wilde
I just loved the depth of description in this, I felt like I was there.
I am a big fan of Khaled Hosseini. I feel like he scoops you up and plants you inside the story and life of his characters. The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns.
*The Perfume* by Patrick Süskind – The protagonist has a hightened olfactory sense and the smells and surroundings are described incredibly well and detailed. The story is quite unique though (more on the dark side) and some people love it, other hate it. There’s not much in between.
